Job Description

The Cyto-Technologist will perform screening of GYN and non-GYN specimens, including fine needle aspiration (FNA) processing and immediate assessment for adequacy. The role involves cytology preparation work and familiarity with the Bethesda system for Cytology reporting.

Responsibilities

• Perform screening of gynecological and non-gynecological specimens.
• Process fine needle aspirations and assess them for adequacy.
• Prepare cytological samples and ensure accurate reporting using the Bethesda system.

Required Experience

Minimum of 3 years experience screening gynecological and non-gynecological specimens and performing fine needle aspirations.

Certifications/Licensure

• NYS License required.
• Bachelor of Science with ASCP Registry and/or Certified Cytology School Degree.
• Required Certifications: ASCP, BLS (AHA).
