Job Title: Sr. Software Engineer

Job Location: Merrifield, VA

Eligibility/Clearance: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

clearance and successfully pass a thorough Government background

screening process requiring the completion of detailed forms and

fingerprinting.

This position has a U.S. residency requirement. The USPS security

clearance process requires the selected candidate to have resided in the

U.S. (including U.S. Territories) for the last five years as follows:

• U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S. Territories)

for longer than 6 months consecutively in the last 3 years (unless

they meet certain exceptions).

• Non-U.S. Citizens cannot have left the U.S. (including U.S.

Territories) for longer than 90 days consecutively in the last 3

years.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED:

Education

• A degree from an accredited College/University in the applicable

field of services is required.

List of tasks to be performed:

• Responsible for managing the entire SLDC life Cyle.
• Maintaining Optimal System performance and proactively mitigating

risks early.

• Takes projects from assignment to implementation.
• Supports management team’s efforts in change management, Dependency

risks and Critical Path Method to map risk burndown charts.

• Recommend and take action to improve processes.

Required Certifications:

• One of the following:
• SAFe RTE (Release Train Engineer)
• SAFe Architect
• PMI ACP (Agile Certified Practitioner)

Required Skills:

• The Senior Software Engineer will heavily be using these skills:
• Dependency risks and Critical Path Method to map risk burndown

charts

• Team velocity and capacity planning
• Communication
• Leadership
• Organization
• time management
• budget management
• risk management
• problem-solving
• adaptability
• teamwork

Required Experience Level:

• 8+ years of relevant experience
• Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience in enterprise software development
