Original job description

Location: Hybrid-Austin. Employees will be required to work out of the nearest office location 3 days a week and for quarterly meetings 1-4 times annually. Aravo Solutions, Inc., provides leading third-party risk management (TPRM), ESG, and vendor lifecycle management solutions powered by intelligent automation software and designed to meet the needs of TPRM teams at Global 2000 enterprises. At Aravo, we believe that in an increasingly interconnected world, managing risk is a critical pillar of global resilience. Traditional, manual approaches to TPRM can no longer keep pace with today’s scale and speed of disruption. That’s why we have pioneered an Intelligence-First™ approach. Trusted by millions of third-party users in 195+ countries, Aravo provides guidance for the most complex third-party networks in the world, helping them mitigate risk, build business resilience, and protect their reputations. We are fundamentally redesigning how organizations see, understand, and act on risk by embedding AI directly into the core of their workflows. Joining Aravo means working at the forefront of AI in TPRM and collaborating with a team that views AI as a partner, not a replacement. You will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, leverage the latest technologies, and contribute to shaping the future of third-party risk management!

Position Overview:

Our DevOps team emphasizes meaningful contribution from each team member in a creative, collaborative, and sustainable environment with robust opportunities for growth, leadership, and recognition. This role will enhance and maintain a highly configurable, multi-tenant, enterprise class, SaaS solution that incorporates cross-organizational collaborative workflows, data integration, and a rich user interface built on a complex data model. You will work on driving Operational Excellence and improving our team’s Developer Experience through automation, advanced telemetry, and continual improvement of our internal processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Champion DevOps best practices by contributing to a culture of change, gathering continuous feedback, and driving efficiency through automation.
Manage and improve CI / CD pipelines and infrastructure as Code (IaC), focusing on engineering efficiency, quality, and security, to accelerate deployment cycles.
Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure operational excellence.
Ensure that infrastructure, systems, and services are scalable, secure, and cost effective.
Own observability and incident management with KPIs to measure effectiveness and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Security-first mindset for infrastructure, tools, software, and SaaS vendors.
Assist in diagnosing and resolving customer issues, offering support for debugging and remediating issues.
Participate in Agile/Scrum practices such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, as well as managing project timelines and deliverables effectively.
Provide 24/7 coverage to support internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in related field.
6+ years of DevOps experience
Adept at designing and architecting solutions in self-hosted, private / public cloud, and hybrid environments (Rackspace, AWS, Azure).
Previous experience implementing DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies, including CI / CD pipelines (TeamCity, GitLab, Nexus, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) and IaC (Ansible, Terraform, AWS CloudFormation / CDK).
Management of SaaS applications (Java, Spring Boot, Oracle Database, Solr, ZooKeeper, Cassandra, ActiveMQ), including monitoring, incident management, and triaging issues.
Deep understanding of observability tools for monitoring, logging, and analysis (Datadog, Sumo Logic, New Relic, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK).
Knowledge of networking principles and how it applies to data flow and security.
Experience debugging complex applications in Linux environments.
History of mentoring and growing effective engineering teams.
Worked within Agile and Lean software development teams.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Soft Skills:

Results oriented, product focused, and at ease in an environment requiring the ability to quickly and appropriately prioritize conflicting demands.
Strong analytical skills, and excellent verbal and written communications skills.
High degree of initiative consistently demonstrated by the active ownership of complex problems through their successful resolution.
Team player eager to work closely with, learn from, and mentor others while continually improving self and team.
Innately curious about new technologies and their practical application in a startup environment.
Flexibility and willingness to pitch in and wear more than one hat in a dynamic organization.

Why Join Us:

At Aravo Solutions, Inc., we offer a dynamic and inclusive work environment where employees are encouraged to innovate, grow, and make a meaningful impact. We provide competitive compensation and benefits packages, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to work alongside industry experts on cutting-edge projects.

Benefits:

· 100% Employer Paid Medical Insurance options for the Employee and Family · Paid Maternity and Paternity Leave · Life and AD&D Insurance · Long-Term Disability Insurance · 401K with Company Matching · Equity Participation · 4 Weeks of Vacation · Fully Stocked Kitchens · Company-Sponsored Charitable Day of Giving Events

As a SaaS company, we're all about smart technology and forward-thinking innovation. But when it comes to building our team, we're firm believers that people should evaluate people.

That’s why we’ve intentionally turned off the AI-driven screening and scoring features in our Applicant Tracking System (ATS). When you apply to Aravo, your application isn't filtered out by an invisible algorithm - it's reviewed by a real recruiter working hand-in-hand with our hiring managers. We've also established and enforced a companywide policy governing the appropriate use of AI, including how it can enhance the hiring process for managers without relying on an invisible, unknown entity to make decisions.

If you're taking the time to learn about us and put your best foot forward, we're committed to matching that effort with ours. Technology might power our platforms, but when it comes to recognizing potential, real people will always remain at the heart of our hiring decisions.
