Position Summary
AquaStar Pool Products, Inc., a leading U.S. manufacturer of high-quality pool and spa products, is seeking a highly analytical Senior FP&A Manager to lead financial planning, management reporting, business analysis, and decision support. Reporting directly to the Controller, this senior individual-contributor role will independently investigate business issues, translate financial and operational data into practical recommendations, and support systems, acquisitions, and other strategic initiatives.
Key Responsibilities

- Management Reporting & Business Intelligence: Develop monthly and quarterly management reporting, Power BI dashboards, and consistent KPI definitions. Provide clear analysis of financial and operating trends and identify matters requiring management action.
- Profitability, Inventory & Working Capital: Analyze customer and product profitability, cost and margin drivers, inventory performance, cycle-count results, excess and obsolete inventory, and working capital. Reconcile operational analysis to the financial statements and partner with Operations, Purchasing, and Accounting on corrective actions.
- Systems & Process Improvement: Support NetSuite, warehouse-management, and related technology initiatives through reporting requirements, data validation, control design, testing, and implementation support. Automate manual reporting and strengthen scalable finance processes.
- Acquisition & Integration Support: Perform financial and operational due diligence, build financial models, evaluate integration risks, and support post-close reporting, controls, systems, and performance tracking.
Qualifications / Experience
- 7+ years of progressively responsible experience in FP&A, operational finance, cost accounting, business analytics, or a related finance function, preferably in a manufacturing or physical-product environment.
- Financial & Operational Analysis: Strong understanding of GAAP financial statements, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, inventory, and profitability analysis. Manufacturing experience with bills of material, cycle counts, landed cost, reserves, and operational cost drivers is strongly preferred.
- Business Intelligence & Systems: Advanced Excel and Power BI skills, including complex data modeling and dashboard development. Strong ERP experience is required; NetSuite or a comparable manufacturing ERP system is preferred.
- Independent Problem Solving: Proven ability to recognize gaps without extensive direction, work through incomplete or inconsistent data, identify root causes, establish priorities, and carry solutions through implementation.
- Communication & Partnership: Ability to translate complex financial and operational information into clear recommendations for financial and nonfinancial leaders and drive cross-functional follow-through.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field is required. CPA, CMA, MBA, or comparable advanced qualification is preferred but not required.
