Original job description

Overview

Are you ready for what’s next, now?

We’re looking for an Account Manager, AI to join us remotely in the US. The position is fulltime. You’ll join an awesome team to support our growing customer base.

About the role

The Account Manager, AI is responsible for managing and growing relationships across an assigned portfolio of existing Aptean customers, with a particular focus on identifying opportunities where AI and Aptean's broader solutions can address evolving customer needs. This role serves as a key point of contact for customers, building strong relationships with influencers and decision-makers, developing a thorough understanding of their business goals, and driving retention and expansion opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Take an AI-first, solution-oriented approach to understanding customer requirements and identifying opportunities where AI can deliver meaningful business value
Manage and strengthen relationships with influencers and decision-makers across assigned customer accounts to promote customer loyalty, retention, and long-term growth
Identify and close expansion opportunities across AI agents, SaaS conversions, additional Aptean products, add-on licenses, upsell modules, and next-version upgrades
Maintain a thorough understanding of each customer's business goals, priorities, current projects, and key issues to support strategic account management and identify future opportunities
Optimize your customer portfolio, prioritize accounts, and develop and maintain strategic account plans, quotes, pipeline, and forecasts
Manage revenue and bookings quotas and participate in regular forecast reviews for your assigned territory
Identify and manage Aptean Ascent business situations and engage the appropriate internal teams to support customer needs and opportunities
Partner cross-functionally with Sales Engineering, Customer Success, Product, and other Aptean teams to facilitate smooth transitions, escalations, contracts, and customer engagements
Coordinate and facilitate technical presentations and participate in customer and marketing events to support account growth and solution adoption
Maintain strong knowledge of relevant industries, customer businesses, Aptean products, and evolving AI trends to provide informed, consultative guidance
Use your understanding of customer needs, feedback, and industry trends to provide input into product strategy and future solution development
Maintain accurate and timely opportunity, customer, contact, pipeline, and forecast data in CRM systems

About you You are a consultative, commercially minded account management professional who is comfortable navigating conversations around customer needs, technology, value, and business outcomes. You bring a strong ability to translate AI capabilities into practical use cases that resonate with a range of stakeholders, from executives to technical teams. You are proactive in identifying opportunities within existing accounts, disciplined in managing a customer portfolio, and motivated by building strong customer relationships while consistently achieving revenue and bookings targets. You take ownership of your accounts and are comfortable balancing customer retention, strategic relationship management, and commercial growth.

To be ahead of the pack, you might have:

Experience in Account Management, Customer Success, or sales within AI Solutions, SaaS, or technology-driven environments
A track record of retaining and growing existing customer accounts through upsell, cross-sell, SaaS conversion, or expansion opportunities
The ability to position complex or emerging technologies, including AI, in practical, business-focused terms
Comfort engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior decision-makers
Experience developing strategic account plans, prioritizing customer portfolios, and managing revenue and bookings targets.
Strong collaboration skills and experience working with cross-functional teams to manage customer needs, opportunities, and escalations
Experience maintaining accurate CRM data, managing pipeline, and providing reliable forecasts to sales leadership
