Original job description

Summary Join our Connectivity, Cellular, and Satellite team to pioneer the next generation of Multi-Radio Coexistence (Coex). In this role, you will architect and optimize the intelligent real-time scheduling algorithms that allow concurrent wireless technologies - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Satellite, Thread , Cellular and next-gen protocols - to operate seamlessly in tight shared spectrum without missing a beat.

If you thrive at the intersection of complex radio architectures, concurrent resource arbitration, and world-class user experience, come build connectivity that enriches lives.

Description As a Multi-Radio Coex Software QA Engineer, you will take an active, influential role in shaping wireless software and systems from concept to release. You will partner closely with development and systems teams across Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular, Thread, and Satellite to tackle critical coexistence challenges, prioritize concurrent traffic, and eliminate mutual RF interference.

Beyond traditional testing, you will drive architectural enhancements, identify test coverage gaps, and design next-generation validation workflows - including developing and maintaining AI-based automation frameworks to scale testing across complex, real-world multi-radio scenarios.

Responsibilities

Early Design & Architecture Influence: Engage in early design phases to evaluate wireless coexistence architectures, review software/firmware specifications, and provide cross-functional hardware design recommendations. Coex Qualification & Strategy: Develop end-to-end test plans and qualification strategies focusing on multi-radio arbitration, real-time priority scheduling, latency control, and throughput optimization. AI-Driven Automation: Identify high-impact automation opportunities; develop and maintain intelligent, AI-based test automation frameworks to qualify complex concurrent radio states. Cross-Functional Leadership: Collaborate closely with SW, FW, HW, Systems, and Performance teams across Cellular, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Thread, and Satellite domains to triage issues, drive root-cause analysis, and specify design improvements.

Quality & Coverage Defense: Identify gaps in test coverage, eliminate testing redundancies across teams, and establish rigorous regression suites to safeguard high-quality software releases.

Minimum Qualifications Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience. 2 to 5 years of experience in a Wireless Systems Engineering role or Software QA In-depth understanding of Multi-Radio Coexistence (Coex) scheduling, real-time priority arbitration, and concurrent wireless behavior across technologies such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular, Thread, and Satellite. Hands-on experience testing and qualifying mobile devices and cellular/connectivity technologies under concurrent traffic and high-interference conditions. Deep understanding of Software QA methodologies, test plan creation, bug triage, and root-cause analysis. Proficiency in functional testing, with a strong willingness to engage in both manual exploration and automation. Proven track record designing, building, and maintaining robust test automation frameworks. Strong proficiency in modern scripting or compiled languages such as Python or Swift. Demonstrated ability to investigate complex multi-radio failures, prioritize by customer impact, and propose clear technical resolutions. Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts to diverse audiences across hardware, software, firmware, and performance teams. Proven ability to work under tight schedules and deliver reliable, high-quality results on time.

Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated experience leading technical initiatives and mentoring team members in a fast-paced environment. Deep debugging and root-cause analysis skills in complex wireless communications environments (e.g., protocol analyzers, over-the-air sniffer captures, and system trace logs). Hands-on experience developing, integrating, or deploying Generative AI and machine learning tools to enhance test automation and data analysis. Proven ability to design, build, and maintain internal testing tools and diagnostic utilities that improve team-wide testing efficiency. Comfortable juggling concurrent projects across diverse engineering domains - such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, Cellular, and Satellite - while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and technical documentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional roadmaps effectively. Highly inquisitive and self-driven problem solver who excels both independently and in close-knit, multidisciplinary teams.
