Job Description: Role: UX Researcher Location: Hybrid - 4 days/week onsite in SE MI Duration: Long-Term contract Rate: Negotiable based on experience Description: We are seeking an execution-focused UX Researcher to help plan, coordinate, and deliver customer research while keeping multiple research activities and workstreams organized and moving forward. This role will partner closely with senior researchers and stakeholders, providing strong execution, organization, follow-through, and clear communication. The ideal candidate has a solid foundation in qualitative research, experience working with quantitative or structured data, and the technical curiosity to explore new research tools and AI-enabled workflows. Key Responsibilities Research Execution & Coordination - Coordinate end-to-end research activities, including participant recruiting, scheduling, communications, consent, incentives, session setup, recording, transcription, documentation, and study closeout. - Prepare for and support qualitative research sessions through observation, note-taking, probing, tagging, and synthesis. - Review existing research, data, and other sources of evidence to identify relevant insights, gaps, and implications. - Translate research findings into concise, actionable summaries rather than simply compiling source material. - Support multiple well-defined research tasks or workstreams simultaneously while clearly communicating priorities, capacity, progress, and blockers. Research Operations & Knowledge Management - Organize research findings and project documentation so insights can be easily accessed and reused. - Develop and maintain research guides, templates, checklists, prompts, repository entries, and other reusable resources. - Identify opportunities to improve research processes, workflows, documentation, and knowledge sharing. - Maintain strong attention to detail throughout participant management, study execution, documentation, and reporting. Tools, Technology & AI - Learn and utilize research and collaboration tools such as Dovetail, Figma, Miro, Excel, Teams transcripts, survey platforms, and research repositories. - Explore and document new tools and workflows, including AI-assisted research approaches. - Investigate technical integration opportunities involving APIs and Model Context Protocols (MCPs). - Test potential workflows, document findings, and help translate technical capabilities into practical solutions for the research team. - Evaluate AI-assisted outputs with appropriate attention to quality, reliability, and risk. Quantitative Research Support - Support quantitative data collection and basic analysis, including surveys and structured datasets. - Organize data and identify basic trends, patterns, and findings. - Complement qualitative research with relevant quantitative evidence when appropriate. Required Qualifications 2--5 years of UX Research, User Research, Research Operations, or related experience. Bachelor's Degree. Solid foundation in qualitative research methods and execution.
