The ideal candidate will possess strong people-management skills, advanced computer proficiency, and the ability to independently manage daily operations while working collaboratively with branch leadership and fellow managers. This is a hands-on, field-based management position requiring regular site visits, direct employee engagement, and end-to-end operational accountability for assigned accounts. We value leadership potential and professional growth and encourage candidates with demonstrated management ability who are ready to advance their careers to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of multiple security accounts, ensuring consistent service delivery and client satisfaction.

• Conduct regular and unannounced site visits to monitor employee performance, compliance with post orders, and operational standards.

• Proactively monitor electronic guard tour systems, patrol activity, incident reports, and site documentation to identify and address operational deficiencies.

• Manage staffing, scheduling, recruiting, hiring, and onboarding to maintain adequate coverage and minimize unnecessary overtime.

• Oversee payroll accuracy, employee attendance, workforce planning, and administrative reporting.

• Supervise, coach, mentor, and develop employees and site supervisors, promoting internal advancement and a positive team environment.

• Address employee performance concerns, conduct investigations, and administer appropriate corrective and disciplinary actions.

• Maintain accurate, detailed, and professional operational and personnel documentation.

• Ensure compliance with security licensing, training, company policies, and contractual requirements.

• Build strong client relationships and respond effectively to operational concerns.

• Demonstrate initiative, independent decision-making, and accountability while maintaining effective communication with branch leadership.

Required Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in employee supervision, operational management, or team leadership.

• Hands-on experience with ADP is required.

• Advanced computer skills are required, including Microsoft Office/Microsoft 365, particularly Excel and Word, Google Workspace, PDF document management, and electronic business applications.

• Experience with electronic guard tour systems, guard patrol management software, or comparable security workforce monitoring platforms.

• Experience with employee performance management, disciplinary procedures, and professional documentation.

• Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities.

• Familiarity with payroll processes, scheduling, overtime management, and workforce planning.

• General working knowledge of applicable Illinois and federal employment laws and workplace policies.

• Ability to manage multiple locations and operational priorities with minimal supervision while contributing to a collaborative management team.

• Valid driver's license and ability to meet company vehicle operation requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Three (3) or more years of multi-site management experience preferred, but not required.

• Previous security operations or contract security management experience.

• Experience in airport or aviation security operations, including TSA requirements, SIDA procedures, airport badging, and access-control compliance.

• Experience with security officer licensing, training requirements, and ongoing operational compliance.

• Experience developing employees and preparing individuals for supervisory or leadership opportunities.

Schedule & Travel

This is a full-time, salaried management position supporting security operations that operate 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Candidates must be flexible with their schedules and available to conduct site visits or respond to operational needs during evenings, overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as necessary.

Regular travel throughout the Chicago suburban area is required. A company vehicle and company-paid fuel will be provided to support site visits and operational oversight.
