Industry: Professional Motorsports (NASCAR Cup/Xfinity/Truck Series)

We are working exclusively with a top-tier motorsports organization to identify a skilled shop-based mechanic to join their technical team. This position plays a vital role in the post-race disassembly, inspection, maintenance, and quality control of high-performance race vehicles and their components.

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a competitive race program, where precision, speed, and innovation drive every aspect of the operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Dismantle race vehicles following events to prepare for inspection and service.
  • Conduct thorough inspections and evaluations of vehicle components for wear, fatigue, or damage.
  • Perform routine and corrective maintenance to ensure components meet team standards and safety regulations.
  • Utilize Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection (FPI/Zyglo) techniques to identify cracks and defects.
  • Clean, service, and reassemble components to ensure race-readiness.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organization, and documentation in the workshop.
  • Support other technical functions and special projects as assigned by the department lead.

Preferred Background & Skills:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical certifications or advanced training a plus.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ hands-on experience in a NASCAR Truck, Xfinity, or Cup series environment preferred.
  • Proficient in non-destructive testing methods such as MPI and FPI.
  • Strong familiarity with the mechanical systems of race vehicles, including suspension, drivetrain, and braking systems.
  • Confident using a wide range of hand and power tools (wrenches, jacks, drills, saws, etc.).
  • Comfortable working under pressure in a high-tempo, results-driven environment.
  • Able to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize multiple ongoing tasks.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving mindset.
