Position Summary
Diesel/Reefer Technician– Buffalo, NY
Day Shift | $40.00 - $50.00 hr | Weekly Pay | Full Benefits within 30 Days | Potential Bonus, up to $5,500
Amerit Fleet Solutions, one of the nation’s premier fleet maintenance providers, is hiring an experienced Diesel Technician (Reefer Experience is a PLUS!) in Buffalo, NY.
*We are offering Thermo King and Carrier Training and EPA 608 Certification*

Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $40.00 – $50.00 per hour (based on experience)Pay Frequency: Weekly pay – every FridaySchedule: Monday - Friday 7:00am- 3:30pm - Day Shift!
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain Diesel Engine
- Perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and A/C service
- Repair refrigeration diesel engines on trailer units
- Conduct safety inspections and complete required documentation
- Perform DOT inspections and trailer repairs when reefer units are fully operational
- Access and inspect undercarriages and mechanical components
- Remove and install parts as needed
- Maintain accurate service records (computer & manual entry)
- Communicate with clients via phone and email
- Follow all safety regulations and company procedures
What You Must Have
- Willingness to learn to maintain Reefer units (Thermo King and/or Carrier)
- EPA 608 Certification (will allow time to obtain)
- Experience with PMs and A/C systems
- Valid Driver’s License
- Own hand tools and toolbox
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Basic computer proficiency (Excel, Word, fleet systems, email)
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
Working Environment
- Exposure to heavy traffic areas
- Dust, diesel fumes, noise
- Oils, chemicals, and shop materials
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and lifting heavy objects
- Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
