Original job description
Multimodality Imaging Supervisor (CT / MRI / X-Ray) – Hospital Radiology – Dallas, TX
The Opportunity Ready to step into imaging leadership without giving up the scanner? A respected acute care hospital in Dallas is hiring a Multimodality Imaging Supervisor to run day-to-day radiology operations and grow a skilled team of technologists. You'll set the pace for quality and turnaround, coach and schedule your team, and jump in on CT, MRI, or X-ray exams when the department needs an extra set of experienced hands.
You'll be the manager's right hand and the go-to leader when they're away, with a real voice in staffing, equipment, budget, and how the department improves. It's a strong next step for a Lead Technologist or Imaging Supervisor who wants more ownership.
Schedule: full-time days, Monday through Friday (five 8-hour shifts), with occasional call as needed.
Compensation and Benefits
- Generous sign-on bonus for candidates new to the organization
- Relocation support for qualified candidates moving from outside the area
- Health benefits that start on your first day
- 401(k) with a strong employer match
- Tuition assistance to keep growing your career
- Paid time off that starts building right away
Required Experience
- Graduate of an accredited radiologic technology or imaging program
- At least 2 years working as a multimodality technologist (for example, X-ray plus CT or MRI)
- Confidence running advanced imaging exams independently and to protocol
- Experience training or precepting technologists; formal supervisory experience is a plus
- Comfortable imaging patients of every age, from infants to older adults
- Working knowledge of scheduling and timekeeping tools, the EMR, and Microsoft Office
Required Qualifications
Required:
- ARRT registered in Radiography with CT or MRI: RT(R)(CT) or RT(R)(MR)
- Credentials in two imaging modalities, with meaningful time (about a quarter of your hours) spent in your second modality
- Other ARRT, ARDMS, NMTCB, or ARMRIT credentials may also count toward the second modality
Key Responsibilities
- Keep imaging operations running smoothly, with a focus on exam quality, turnaround, patient prep, and cost
- Step in to perform CT, MRI, or X-ray exams during heavy volume or complex cases
- Build schedules and staffing plans, and make sure the team has the supplies and equipment it needs
- Hire, onboard, train, and evaluate technologists, and keep everyone's credentials current
- Run team meetings, set goals with staff, and tie results to performance reviews
- Turn staff and patient feedback into clear action plans
- Work with leadership on budgets, equipment purchases, and fixing productivity or cost gaps
- Build a service-first culture and recognize the people who make it happen
- Partner with radiologists, physicians, and other departments to solve problems and improve patient flow
- Keep the department survey-ready for Joint Commission and state requirements, and help update policies
- Lead or join patient safety, quality, and process improvement projects such as Lean and 5S
