Shrink Conversion Worker-1st Shift (40731)

1st shift Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 4:00 PM

Summary/Objective:

The Conversion Rewinder is responsible for Safe and efficient operation of production machinery including Rewinders, and other related equipment.

Specific Responsibilities and Essential Functions:

• Conduct daily safety inspection of work area and addresses noted issues
• Prepares production supplies including cores, tape and labels
• Conducts daily inspection and preventative maintenance of machinery
• Conducts general set up of production machinery
• Installs rollers and related equipment on machinery
• Reads job specification sheet to determine job requirements
• Loads, centers, and webs product into proper machine
• Maintains proper speeds and settings of machinery throughout shift
• Routinely checks product samples against job specifications
• Conducts Quality procedures including inspection of finished goods for quality defects
• Completes required paperwork for each job
• Cleans up machine and work area
• Meets production and quality goals
• Assists in training of new employees
• Assists with other tasks as needed
• Complies with all Plant Rules
• All other appropriate duties as assigned by the management team
