Job Description AMERI-CANS is looking to hire a full-time Service Technician/Assistant Driver at our location in Newark, OH. This is a key role leading the day-to-day execution of a rapidly growing portable sanitation company that takes pride in doing things the right way and executing the impossible. Owned by Marine Corps veterans, we have a dynamic team of technicians, operations and maintenance staff that hold the highest standard of performance, integrity, and customer service, without compare. This position consists of servicing, cleaning and stocking portable toilets, holding tanks, freshwater systems, hand-wash stations and restroom-shower trailers as needed. You are responsible for completing daily routes, while maintaining professional customer contact and open lines of communication with the dispatcher. Responsibilities • Service, clean and stock portable toilets, holding tanks, freshwater systems, hand-wash stations and restroom-shower trailers as needed. • Vacuum pump, clean and sanitize portable restroom units on customer sites. • Stock/replenish paper towels, toilet paper, hand soap and refill water holding tanks. • Perform daily maintenance of truck (refueling, cleaning, etc.). • Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers daily for completing service routes. • Obey and follow all applicable traffic laws. • Repair portable restroom units onsite as necessary. • Secure cargo and properly arrange and balance it within the vehicle. • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations. • Report defects, accidents, and violations. • Interact with customers in a professional manner. Requirements • High school diploma or equivalent. • Bilingual preferred (Spanish). • Valid driver's license and safe, clean driving record. • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, including traffic laws and hours-of-service rules (rest periods, maximum miles driven, etc.). • Physical fitness; Service Technicians are required to pass a physical exam every two years. • Must successfully pass a background check. • Must have authorization to work in the United States. Some job sites require U.S. citizenship and a clean criminal history for site access. Physical Abilities Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Requires ability to sit or stand for long periods; stoop, crawl, bend, twist, reach, and crouch; perform duties with minimal supervision. Lift/carry up to 50 lbs and drag up to 185 lbs.
