The Foreign Language Teacher provides instruction in a designated world language to K-12 students, fostering language proficiency, cultural awareness, and academic achievement. The Foreign Language Teacher develops and delivers engaging lessons aligned with curriculum standards, assesses student progress, and creates an inclusive learning environment that supports diverse learning needs. The Foreign Language Teacher collaborates with school staff, students, and families to promote student success and effective communication skills in the target language.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Foreign Language, WorldLanguages, Linguistics, or a related field
• Valid state teaching license and/or appropriate foreignlanguage endorsement/certification, as required by the state and/or district
• Demonstrated proficiency in the language being taught
• Knowledge of second-language acquisition principles andeffective instructional practices
• Strong classroom management, communication, organizational,and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively with students from diversecultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Ability to work effectively with students from diverselinguistic and cultural backgrounds
• Complies with all relevant professional standards ofpractice
• Current CPR if applicable
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current Health certificate (per contract or stateregulation)
• Must meet all federal, state and local requirements
• Ability to comply with FERPA and HIPPA requirements
• Must be at least 18 years of age
