- VDA 6.3 Consultant
- 1099-IC
- Location: US
- Lead and conduct VDA 6.3 process audits across manufacturing and supplier operations
- Support OEMs and Tier suppliers with audit preparation, gap assessments, and corrective actions
- Identify process risks, non-conformances, and improvement opportunities within production and quality systems
- Collaborate with plant leadership, quality, engineering, and supplier teams to drive compliance and operational improvements
- Assist with root cause analysis, CAPA implementation, and customer requirement alignment
- Provide consulting support for launch readiness, manufacturing process optimization, and quality system improvements
Requirements
- Certified or experienced in VDA 6.3 Process Auditing
- Strong background in automotive manufacturing, quality, or supplier quality engineering
- Knowledge of IATF 16949, Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA), and OEM standards
- Experience supporting Tier 1/2/3 suppliers and OEM automotive environments
- Strong communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills
