Original job description

Amazon Leo is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

You will work closely with cross-functional engineering teams to translate test needs into safe, reliable, and repeatable test setups. You will improve current test setups, integrate instrumentation and equipment, perform equipment checkout and commissioning activities, execute complex testing, troubleshoot hardware and test system issues. This is a highly hands-on engineering role that combines mechanical engineering, test system development, production operations, troubleshooting, and testing.

Organize and maintain the lab or shop space, and track equipment calibration to keep it current and compliant.
Document test setups, procedures, and results.
Enforce lab safety and housekeeping standards.
Provide technical guidance to technicians and other personnel on equipment operation, test setup, troubleshooting, and safe test execution.
