Stay current with industry trends and best practices, advocating for user-centric design principles while identifying enhancement opportunities across digital touchpoints.
A day in the life Your morning might start with a design review, where you present concept options to stakeholders and gather feedback to refine your direction. After that, you could spend time in CAD refining a prototype based on new manufacturing constraints, then join a working session with engineers to resolve a tricky ergonomic challenge. You will regularly balance multiple projects at different stages, from early ideation to final design approval, keeping your work organized and your partners informed along the way.
About the team You'll join the Amazon Customs and Trade (ACT), a team of program and product managers building the customs brokerage technology that powers Amazon's cross-border trade operations. Our mission is to make it easy for customers to meet the regulatory requirements of international goods movement while delivering value through transparent and predictable services. We are a collaborative group that values creative problem-solving, and we are excited to welcome someone who wants to help shape the future of global trade at Amazon. Why ACT is making brokerage seamless across borders Moving goods internationally means dealing with customs rules that differ by country, with filings, duties and product-specific requirements that change often. For most customers, this is slow, hard to follow and easy to get wrong, and mistakes can mean delayed shipments or extra cost. For our own operators, it often means working across several tools to complete a single filing. We think customs brokerage should be a service that works in the background. A customer should know what is needed, file once, and know where their shipment stands. An operator should have the information they need on one screen and spend their time on exceptions, not data entry. As the work spreads across more countries and programs, each customer would otherwise face a different process. Consistent, well-designed experiences are how we keep the service simple as it grows. That is why design is an integral part of the team from the beginning, not added at the end.
