Original job description
Amazon is building the future of manufacturing and industrial operations, combining robotics technology with world-class software engineering to deliver AI-native solutions at unprecedented scale. You'll work with passionate builders who are customer-obsessed and committed to technical excellence in applying buffer-centric and flow optimization principles to create environments where humans and robots work safely and efficiently together. In this environment, your contributions directly impact Amazon's ability to serve customers worldwide by optimizing entire systems rather than individual components.
Industrial Robotics Infrastructure and Systems (IRIS) is part of the industrial robotics IT organization. We onboard, integrate, and maintain the commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) platforms and business applications our customers use to build robots, spanning workflow automation through factory-floor operations. You will own delivery of those programs as the Group grows, and carry the sourcing and vendor work that makes them land.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive end-to-end delivery of programs across the IRIS portfolio, owning the schedule, scope, cross-workstream dependencies, and risks.
- Serve as the program's point of coordination across our IRG customers in manufacturing engineering, controls engineering, operations, and facilities, keeping workstreams aligned to an integrated delivery plan.
- Own commercial off-the-shelf platform onboarding end to end, from vendor engagement and licensing through Amazon security and compliance review to supported operations, treating that review as a gate on delivery rather than a step added later.
- Manage vendor relationships day to day, covering quotes, statements of work, deliverables, milestones, and quality, holding partners accountable to their commitments.
- Own the sourcing and procurement pipeline for the team
- Own the budget view for the team's programs, tracking committed and forecast spend across licensing, equipment and services, and flagging variance early.
- Define the KPIs and SLAs for the platforms the team runs, and report program and service health to senior leadership.
- Own the mechanisms that keep programs on track
- Drive requirements and design decisions to closure, surfacing trade-offs and escalating the right decisions at the right altitude to keep delivery moving.
- Own launch readiness for new platforms
A day in the life

- Standing up the intake and prioritization mechanism that governs what the team commits to.
- Taking platforms through launch readiness with a manufacturing customer, including testing, training and cutover criteria. Basic qualifications
- 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience in vendor management, or experience in construction or project management Preferred qualifications
- 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
- Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience defining KPI's/SLA's used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
