Amazon Web Services is looking for experienced engineering leaders to work with us and define and build the future of computing. The AWS Elastic Block Store (EBS) service delivers high performance virtualized storage "in the cloud" for EC2. Durable storage is a key building block for any application and as a member of the EBS you'll work alongside exceptional engineers and leaders to develop and operate one of the largest storage services in the world.
We are looking for an innovative engineering manager to own, build, and grow the EBS Volume metadata team that supports EBS volume metering, billing, admission control, large scale anomaly detection, and reconciliation. Grow and lead a group that will design, develop, test, and operate large scale distributed systems that impact all the EBS customers, and can be resilient in different situations like infrastructure failures, network partitions, etc. As a member of the EBS leadership, you will set and meet challenging goals and by working with customers and other leaders throughout AWS. You will guide and shape our long term technical and business strategy.
The ideal candidate will be excited about the incredible opportunity cloud computing represents, will be passionate about distributed systems and thrive on building and driving great teams to deliver high quality software. This is a fast paced environment that requires strong technical and business judgment and great communication skills.
