Original job description
Keeping tens of thousands of safety technology devices active and compliant across a large third-party rental vehicle fleet takes more than day-to-day upkeep, it takes an owner who can see the patterns behind the problems and reshape how the work gets done. You will own device compliance and operational performance for rental vehicles across hundreds of delivery sites, turning device health data into root-cause insight and leading cross-functional partners to durable fixes, not one-off corrections. This role brings that program under a single accountable owner, one person who runs the day-to-day operation and continuously raises the bar on how it performs.
In this role you will own the mechanisms that keep devices installed, accounted for, and active across the rental fleet: the recurring site and partner engagement, the case resolution path, and the operational reporting leaders rely on. You will go beyond resolving individual issues to analyze why they recur, designing process improvements that reduce failure rates at the source. You will work across field operations, partner, and support teams to align priorities and drive systemic resolution, delivering difficult cross-functional work independently and escalating when a decision falls outside established mechanisms.
The ideal candidate pairs operational ownership with program-management judgment: the analytical depth to turn recurring issues into root-cause insight, the influence to move multiple stakeholder groups toward a shared outcome without direct authority, and the instinct to simplify and improve the processes they inherit. You will thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment where you own outcomes, not just tasks.
Key job responsibilities
- Own the compliance program for the rental vehicle fleet end to end, keeping devices installed, accounted for, and active across hundreds of sites through the recurring mechanisms you run and improve
- Analyze case and failure trends to identify root causes, then design and implement process improvements that reduce recurring issues rather than resolving them one at a time
- Lead cross-functional stakeholder groups across field operations, partner, and support teams to align priorities, drive systemic resolution, and move compliance and device utilization in the right direction
- Own the operational reporting and device-health analysis that turn raw data into the insight leaders use to make decisions across rental fleet segments
- Identify risks and blockers early, drive crisp and timely decisions, and escalate appropriately to keep the program aligned with its goals
A day in the life Your day blends operational ownership with cross-functional problem-solving. You will dig into device-health and case data not just to clear what is in front of you but to find the trend underneath it, then bring field operations, partner, and support teams together to fix the root cause. You will design improvements to the mechanisms you own, influence stakeholders toward a shared plan, and build the operational reporting that gives leaders a clear read on program health. Expect to move between focused analysis and the cross-functional work of aligning people and raising the bar across the rental fleet.
