Load Planner

Position Summary:

The Distribution Center Load Planner executes and facilitates the day-to-day functions and workload of a specific DC functional team. Acts as technical “go to” for SOPs, safety, efficiency and operations for a specific team.

What you will do in this role:

• Work with warehouse management system to plan daily order picking, LTL shipping, inbound product appointment scheduling and other clerical tasks
• Drive compliance with safety, quality and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives.
• Provide recommendations on process improvement and assists in implementation.
• Pull data and runs reports from AS400 as needed.
• Other duties/projects as required by Distribution Center Supervisor
• Interacting with inbound and outbound drivers

Qualifications

What we look for in a candidate:

• High School diploma
• 3-5 years Warehouse experience including forklift skills, warehouse handling and organization, truck loading and unloading.
• Knowledge in working with Warehouse Management System
• Knowledge/experience in planning orders, LTL shipping, inbound product appointment scheduling
• Demonstrated problem-solving, decision making, prioritization and critical thinking skills
• Full understanding of all aspects of department (work flow, staffing) / ability to manage production work flow;
• Well organized, detail oriented, and able to meet scheduled deadlines; Able to prioritize work from multiple sources & adjust to fluctuating work load
• Excellent interpersonal, motivational skills and positive attitude
• Ability to take charge and get things done
• AS400 and Korber experience – nice have to have

Additional skills, knowledge, and abilities:

• Able to lift/push/move 50 lbs
• Able to operate forklift and clamp truck
