Job Description

As a Security Officer Screening in Grimes, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help maintain a welcoming, professional environment by screening personnel and visitors, monitoring access points, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting a visible presence that helps deter incidents. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, packages, and/or vehicles entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials, shipping documentation, and authorization before permitting entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly reporting concerns through established procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of loading areas, trailer yards, business operations, and perimeter locations, documenting observations and irregularities.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
