Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Logistics Access in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Access Control Officer, you will help maintain a secure, welcoming environment by monitoring entry points, verifying credentials, managing visitor access, and responding to access-related concerns. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle access records and communicate access concerns to appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, reporting unusual conditions and access-control concerns.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Experience with alarm panels is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
