Job Description
As a Security Officer Facility Access Driver in Sulphur, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control professional at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will help manage site entry, verify credentials, monitor access points, conduct routine patrols, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors. What You'll Do:
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a chemical and petrochemical location.
- Verify identification, credentials, visitor authorizations, and delivery documentation before permitting access to designated areas in accordance with site requirements.
- Monitor entry and exit points, maintain accurate visitor and contractor logs, issue and collect access credentials, and report discrepancies through established channels.
- Respond to access-control incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and perimeter locations, observing for unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements:
- A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
- At least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security-related supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security-related experience is required.
- The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
