Job Description

As a Security Officer Clearance Required Operations in State College, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. You will provide outstanding customer service and clear communication while supporting a welcoming environment. Position Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $27.00 / Hour

• Age Requirement:
• Candidates must be at least 21 years of age. This requirement is in place to ensure compliance with industry regulations and to promote a mature and responsible workforce.
• Security Clearance:
• An active Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance is mandatory for all applicants. This requirement is essential for positions that involve access to sensitive information and ensures that our team members meet national security standards.
• Customer Service Experience:
• Candidates with a background in customer service will be preferred, as this experience is valuable in fostering positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology research location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of laboratories, offices, common areas, and the facility perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, access concerns, and facility hazards.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate visitor, incident, and shift activity records.
• Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, contractors, and Allied Universal leadership regarding security-related observations, incidents, and site needs.

Minimum Requirements:

• An active DoD Secret clearance is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
