Job Description

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol in Huntsville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Security Professional supporting a dynamic aerospace and defense location. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, respond to situations, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. This role requires an armed guard card or license and offers the opportunity to contribute through teamwork, integrity, reliability, and innovation.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of facilities, restricted areas, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries to help identify and report unusual conditions.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and escalation procedures.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site requirements, reporting unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity.
• Maintain required documentation, including patrol activity, incident reports, and shift communications, while following applicable armed post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a concealed carry weapons permit.
• Have at least 1 year of law enforcement experience, 2 years of security supervisor or manager experience, or 3 years of security experience.
• Possess an armed guard card or license.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
