Mobile Security Systems Technician

Position Overview

Alliance Communication & Technologies is seeking a dependable, self-motivated Mobile Security Systems Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for traveling to customer locations to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial and residential security systems including surveillance cameras, access control systems, intrusion alarms, fire alarm systems, and structured cabling infrastructure.

The ideal candidate is technically skilled, customer-focused, organized, and able to work independently in the field while representing the company professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, program, and service:
• CCTV and IP surveillance camera systems
• Access control systems
• Intrusion/security alarm systems
• Fire alarm systems
• Intercom and communication systems
• Data cabling and low-voltage infrastructure
• Troubleshoot and repair system issues on-site
• Perform preventative maintenance and system inspections
• Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical schematics
• Train customers on system operation and best practices
• Maintain accurate service records and documentation
• Ensure installations meet safety codes and industry standards
• Coordinate with office staff and project managers regarding schedules and job progress
• Maintain company vehicle inventory, tools, and equipment
• Provide excellent customer service while representing the company professionally

Qualifications

• Experience in low-voltage systems, security systems, or related technical field preferred
• Knowledge of surveillance cameras, access control, intrusion alarms, and networking preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot electrical and technical issues efficiently
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record
• Ability to travel and work in various environments
• Ability to lift equipment and work on ladders when necessary

Preferred Skills

• Experience with commercial security platforms and IP networking
• Fire alarm certification or low-voltage certifications
• OSHA safety knowledge
• Experience terminating and testing network/data cabling
