Original job description

Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the development and delivery of reinforcement learning environments, training tasks, and evaluation infrastructure for frontier AI models. You will work directly with leading AI labs, internal engineering and research teams, and external technical experts to translate complex research requirements into scalable programs. This role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-ambiguity environment, can move quickly from strategy to execution, and successfully drive multiple complex technical programs in parallel.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Program Leadership: Own customer-facing programs with frontier AI labs, translating research needs into clear requirements, roadmaps, and deliverables.
RL Environment Development: Lead the creation of realistic, interactive RL gyms and scalable task-generation and evaluation pipelines.
Production at Scale: Manage the weekly delivery of hundreds of technically complex tasks while maintaining quality, diversity, and efficiency.
Expert & Freelancer Management: Build and manage distributed networks of technical contributors, cybersecurity specialists, and reviewers.
Cybersecurity & Agent Safety: Coordinate cybersecurity, indirect prompt injection, and agentic evaluation programs.
Rewards & Verification: Partner with researchers and engineers to establish automated graders, reliable reward mechanisms, and quality standards.
Parallel Program Execution: Drive multiple programs simultaneously, rapidly prioritize competing demands, adapt to changing requirements, and maintain execution speed without compromising quality.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Align Research, Engineering, Product, Sales, external contributors, and customers to ensure reliable delivery.

Requirements

Required Qualifications

7+ years of experience in technical program management, engineering leadership, or technical operations.
Strong understanding of LLMs, AI agents, reinforcement learning, post-training, and model evaluation.
Proven ability to lead multiple complex technical programs in parallel, make fast decisions, and deliver under aggressive timelines.
Experience scaling high-volume production workflows involving external contributors or specialized experts.
Strong technical foundation in software engineering, APIs, infrastructure, testing, and automation.
Exceptional prioritization, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
High ownership, bias for action, adaptability, and ability to thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.
Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience working with frontier AI labs or AI infrastructure companies.
Familiarity with RL gyms, evaluation harnesses, verifiable rewards, or post-training datasets.
Background in cybersecurity, red teaming, prompt injection, or agent safety.
Hands-on experience with Python, containers, or automated testing.

What Success Looks Like

Multiple RL programs running in parallel, consistently delivering hundreds of validated tasks weekly.
Fast execution and rapid adaptation to evolving customer and research priorities.
Reliable verification, strong quality metrics, and scalable production workflows.
High-performing technical contributor networks and trusted frontier AI customer relationships.
