Special Education Teacher (Self-Contained Classroom)

PediaStaff is excited to partner with a school program in the Phoenix metro area seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support students in a self-contained classroom setting. Position Overview
As the Special Education Teacher, you will lead a small, self-contained classroom and work closely with support staff and related service providers to deliver individualized instruction and promote student success. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while working within a collaborative educational team.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction aligned with student IEP goals
- Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with therapists, paraprofessionals, administrators, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress monitoring records
- Create a positive, structured, and supportive learning environment
- Use evidence-based instructional and behavioral strategies to support student growth
Qualifications
- Active Arizona Special Education certification required:
- Mild/Moderate Disabilities, or
- Moderate/Severe Disabilities
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required
- Ability to work onsite in a school setting
- Previous experience in a self-contained special education classroom preferred
Schedule & Assignment Details
- Full-time, in-person position
- School hours: 7:45 AM – 3:15 PM
- Self-contained classroom setting with specialized support services
- Small classroom environment allowing for individualized instruction
- School holiday break scheduled for November 23-27
