Welder / Fabricator Location: Fenton, MO / Barnhart, MOPay: $23.00 to $32.00/hourJob Type: ContractExperience Level: IntermediateShift: 1st Shift (Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)Workplace: On-site Job Summary We are seeking skilled MIG Welders / Fabricators to join a growing metal fabrication operation. This position involves welding, fitting, fabricating, and assembling metal components using blueprints, shop drawings, and welding specifications.Candidates should have previous MIG welding experience, strong blueprint reading skills, and the ability to perform fitting and fabrication work independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and other materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols
• Measure, mark, cut, and fit materials to required dimensions and tolerances
• Assemble parts and components prior to welding
• Inspect completed welds to ensure quality and dimensional accuracy
• Operate fabrication equipment including saws, grinders, drills, and other shop tools
• Use measuring tools such as tape measures, squares, and calipers
• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of welding equipment
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
• Work with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines

Required Qualifications

• Previous MIG welding experience
• Fitting and fabrication experience
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and fabrication drawings
• Knowledge of welding symbols and basic shop mathematics
• Proficiency using measuring tools including tape measures, squares, and calipers
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and within a team environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

• Structural fabrication
• Metal fitting
• Saw, grinder, and drill operation
• General fabrication shop experience
