Job Title: Utility Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Utility Operator for the 1st Shift, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. The role involves safely operating forklifts to move raw materials, finished goods, and inventory throughout the facility, as well as loading and unloading trucks efficiently. The operator will also pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment, perform basic small-part assembly, and conduct quality inspections to ensure parts meet required standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate forklifts safely to move raw materials, finished goods, and other inventory throughout the facility.
• Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks in a timely and efficient manner.
• Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment according to specifications.
• Perform basic small-part assembly following work instructions and quality standards.
• Conduct quality inspections and verify completed parts meet required standards.
• Lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
• Maintain accurate inventory and material movement practices.
• Assist with general warehouse, production, and housekeeping duties as needed.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Report quality concerns, equipment issues, or safety hazards to supervision.
• Support production teams to help meet daily output and shipping goals.

Essential Skills

• 1+ years of manufacturing experience
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Mechanical aptitude

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, assembly, and material handling
• Skills in picking, packing, loading, and unloading

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
