Structures Mechanic

Job Title: Structures Mechanic - EA18G ModJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Structures Mechanic to join our team in a long-term, full-time role focused on modifying, repairing, and maintaining military aircraft. This position involves supporting the installation of offensive systems upgrades and weight reduction modifications on military jet aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to understand structural modifications.
• Follow task cards and manuals to execute repairs and installations.
• Remove, repair, modify, and install structural, electrical, rigging, and other systems.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Leverage knowledge of military aircraft systems and structures.

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of depot/heavy maintenance experience on aircraft structures.
• F-18 / EA-18G experience is highly preferred.
• Proficiency in reaming and stepping up holes.
• Eligibility for military base access badge.
• Eligibility for SECRET clearance.
• Eligibility for Boeing badge (no terminations on record with Boeing).

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in aviation maintenance and installation.
• Knowledge of airframe repair, maintenance, and modification.
• Skills in avionics, structures, and systems installation.
• Proficiency in sheet metal work and riveting.

Work EnvironmentThis role offers a day shift schedule from Monday to Friday, with some Saturdays possible, consisting of 8-hour shifts. The work is conducted on base at Whidbey Naval Air Station, primarily inside hangars with occasional tasks on the flightline. The environment is sheltered from the elements, and all necessary tools are supplied. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oak Harbor, WA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $37.00 - $39.00/hr.
