Shop Helper

Job Title: Shop HelperJob DescriptionThe Shop Helper supports overall operations on the production floor by assisting with general fabrication and production tasks, using hand tools, and helping maintain a clean, organized workspace. This role contributes directly to efficient shop workflow and high-quality output.

Responsibilities

• Assist with general production activities, including basic fabrication and assembly tasks as directed.
• Use hand tools safely and effectively to support mechanical and production work.
• Help stock materials, parts, and supplies to ensure the production floor remains well organized and adequately equipped.
• Perform sweeping and general housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Support mechanical tasks and shop projects by following instructions and standard procedures.
• Collaborate with production team members to complete daily workload and meet production goals.
• Follow all safety guidelines and shop protocols while working on the production floor.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of mechanical experience in a shop, production, or similar environment.
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to understand and assist with basic mechanical tasks.
• Proficiency in using common hand tools safely and correctly.
• Ability to perform general labor and production support duties.
• Reliability and consistency in following instructions and completing assigned tasks.
• Attention to safety and cleanliness in a production floor environment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in general production or fabrication work.
• Comfort working in a hands-on, physically active role.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new shop processes and procedures.
• Ability to work cooperatively with other team members on the production floor.
