Shipping/receiving Clerk

Job Title: Shipping and Receiving AssociateJob DescriptionThis role supports daily warehouse operations by handling shipping and receiving activities, transporting seed bags to the shipping area, and loading and unloading trucks. You will operate forklifts and other material handling equipment, accurately follow paper pick sheets, and ensure inventory moves safely and efficiently through the facility. The position is seasonal with full-time hours and offers the possibility of continued employment based on performance.Responsibilities

• Transport bags of seed from storage areas to the shipping area in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
• Follow paper pick sheets to accurately pick, stage, and prepare orders for shipment.
• Palletize products, including repeatedly lifting up to 50 pounds to build and wrap pallets securely.
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against bills of lading and other documentation.
• Perform order picking, packing, and labeling to ensure correct items and quantities ship on time.
• Use RF scanners and data entry systems to track inventory movement and maintain accurate inventory control.
• Move, stack, and organize seed bags and other materials within warehouse racking and storage areas.
• Assist with material handling across the warehouse, including lifting boxes and relocating pallets as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in the warehouse and production facility.
• Communicate clearly with team members and supervisors using strong verbal and written skills to coordinate daily tasks and resolve issues.
• Work a 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. schedule Monday through Friday during the season, with partial days on Saturdays as needed.

Essential Skills

• Ability to repeatedly lift 3050 pounds and lift up to 60 pounds as required.
• At least 6 months of previous physical labor work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of forklift operation experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of order picking and shipping experience.
• Proficient forklift operation skills for loading, unloading, and material movement.
• Experience with shipping and receiving processes, including handling bills of lading.
• Ability to use pallet jacks and other basic warehouse equipment.
• Experience with inventory control and order picking in a warehouse environment.
• Comfort with repetitive lifting, palletizing, and material handling tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions and complete documentation accurately.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a warehouse or production facility environment.
• Experience in shipping, order picking, loading, and unloading trucks.
• Familiarity with RF scanners for inventory tracking and order processing.
• Basic data entry skills for recording inventory and shipment information.
• Experience handling seed bags or similar bulk products is a plus.
• Ability to work long shifts, including seasonal overtime and partial Saturdays.
• Strong attention to detail when following paper pick sheets and verifying orders.
• Capability to maintain organization and cleanliness in a busy warehouse setting.

You will work inside the facility operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and RF scanners, and performing data entry as part of daily shipping and receiving activities. The schedule is typically 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with partial days on Saturdays during the busy season.
