Restoration Technician

Aerotek is hiring for a Water Damage Technician $20-$25/hr with WEEKLY payJob DescriptionAs a Water Damage Technician, you will play a critical role in responding to disasters such as water, fire, and mold incidents. This position requires operational support in mitigation efforts, including tasks related to water extraction, mold removal, and the use of specialized equipment under supervision. Be prepared for a dynamic work schedule that can vary from week to week.Responsibilities

• Receive instructions from the team leader.
• Understand and adhere to MSDS protocols for chemical products used in mitigation processes.
• Perform daily inspections of vehicle safety and maintenance, ensuring they are clean and in perfect working condition.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and mastery of the Book of Damage Caused by Water.
• Use specialized equipment such as scrapers, rinse rods, weighed trawls, and extractors under supervision.
• Build containment systems using appropriate calculations and equipment like Neg Air and HEPA vacuum under supervision.
• Use cleaning/disinfecting solutions and debris removal techniques from confined areas under supervision.
• Employ proper lifting techniques, sliding pads, and polystyrene foam blocks while protecting client belongings.
• Remove vapor barriers, label recoverable cuttings, and install various drying systems under supervision.

Essential Skills

• Ability to perform water pumping and extraction.
• Experience in mold remediation.
• Knowledge of setting drying equipment.
• Skills in antimicrobial applications as appropriate.
• Capability to conduct vehicle safety and maintenance inspections.
• Experience constructing polyethylene enclosures.
• Ability to remove and dispose of debris.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Knowledge of various pump systems.
• Sense of urgency, professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to communicate clearly with the team.
• Experience in construction, field service, restoration.
