Picker Operator

Job Title: Picker Operator - $18/hr + $2.50 performance incentive Job DescriptionWe are seeking dedicated Picker Operators to join our team at a privately owned, independent bottler and distributor of soda products. Located in Walcott, Iowa, you will play a crucial role in ensuring customer orders are accurately built and prepared for shipment using electronic pallet-jacks.Responsibilities

• Utilize assigned tickets to accurately pull products from the warehousing area.
• Build orders in preparation for shipment.
• Stage and load products according to company standards.
• Move products throughout the warehouse manually and using material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Safely operate material handling equipment.
• Count and inspect products to resolve order discrepancies.
• Minimize damaged products.
• Comply with all safety procedures.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Perform physical activities such as standing, walking, twisting, grasping, reaching, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling, sitting, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.

Essential Skills

• Experience with RF scanners and order picking.
• Ability to read and follow directions/work orders.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Capability to frequently lift and/or move items up to 55 lbs.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General labor experience.
• Ability to perform physical activities involving various movements.
• Specific vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Experience varying temperatures with warmer conditions in summer and cooler temperatures in winter months. Handle a variety of cases of different products that stores sell.
