Job Title: PackerJob DescriptionThe Packer plays a key role in supporting production by carefully packing, inspecting, and preparing products to meet customer requirements and quality standards. This position works closely with machine operators and team members, following detailed work orders and maintaining a clean, safe work area in a modern manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with machine operators and team members to ensure all products meet customer requirements and quality standards.
• Follow directions on work orders with accuracy and strong attention to detail.
• Inspect finished products to confirm they meet specifications and established quality standards.
• Identify non-conforming goods and promptly notify the appropriate department manager or supervisor.
• Perform visual inspections and verify measurements throughout the production flow.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Complete additional tasks and duties as assigned to support production and shipping activities.
• Lift items weighing 50 pounds or more as part of daily work activities.
• Stand for extended periods while performing packing and production-related tasks.
• Walk, sit, bend, and communicate by phone as needed to support workflow.
• Sit at a desk for extended periods when required for documentation or administrative tasks.
• Assist with packing, labeling, packaging, and shipping processes as part of the production cycle.

Essential Skills

• Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and consistently.
• Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to walk, sit, bend, and talk on the phone as needed in a production environment.
• Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods when required.
• Experience with packing, production, labeling, packaging, and shipping tasks.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders accurately.
• Strong command of English, both written and spoken.
• Basic math skills and the ability to use simple measuring tools.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of factory or manufacturing experience preferred.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in a factory or manufacturing setting is preferred and helps support quick onboarding.
• Comfort working around machinery, materials, and equipment in a production environment.
• Attention to detail when inspecting products and identifying non-conforming goods.
• Reliability and consistency in following safety protocols and work instructions.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team focused on safety, efficiency, and quality.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based in a modern manufacturing facility designed around safety, efficiency, and teamwork. The position operates on a 1st shift schedule from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Team members work around machinery, materials, and equipment and must follow all safety protocols at all times. The environment emphasizes a Safe to the Core culture, supporting hands-on tasks performed confidently and safely. Work involves periods of standing, walking, bending, and occasional desk-based tasks, all within a clean, organized, and safety-focused production setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Brunswick, NJ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
