Order Selector / Warehouse Associate Location: St. Louis, MO 63140Pay: $18.00 to $19.00/hourJob Type: ContractExperience Level: Entry LevelShift: 2nd ShiftWorkplace: On-site Job Summary We are hiring Order Selectors / Warehouse Associates to work in a fast-paced grocery distribution warehouse. This is an entry-level opportunity, and training is provided on the equipment used for order selecting.You will operate a center rider/tugger, use a scanner to locate products, and build pallets with grocery items for shipment. Candidates should be comfortable with physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working in both room-temperature and refrigerated areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Pick grocery products according to scanner instructions
• Operate a center rider/tugger to travel throughout the warehouse
• Locate the correct products and quantities
• Load and organize products securely onto pallets
• Build accurate and stable pallets for shipment
• Maintain productivity, speed, and accuracy standards
• Perform general material-handling duties
• Follow warehouse safety procedures
• Work in both ambient and refrigerated warehouse areas

Qualifications

• No previous order selecting experience required
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong counting skills
• Good spatial awareness when building pallets
• Comfortable performing physical work throughout the shift
• Must be willing to work in refrigerated temperatures
• Reliable attendance
• Ability to work until daily production is completed

Preferred Experience

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

• Order picking
• Pallet jacks
• Material handling
• Warehouse operations
• RF scanners
• General labor

Schedule

• 2nd Shift: Starts at 12:00 PM
• Shift ends when daily production is completed, typically around 8:00 PM to 9:00 PM
• Two consecutive weekdays off, either Monday/Tuesday or Tuesday/Wednesday

Pay & Incentives

• Base Pay: $18.00 to $19.00/hour
• 2nd Shift Differential: Additional $1.00/hour
• Contractors can earn up to an additional $6.50/hour when production metrics exceed 105%
• Production performance is based on accuracy, speed, and efficiency

Work Environment

• Large, clean, and organized distribution center
• Grocery distribution environment
• Both room-temperature and refrigerated work areas
• Refrigerated areas require working in cooler temperatures
• Dry areas are ambient temperature and not climate-controlled
