MIG Welder

Job Title: Welder / Fabricator Custom Industrial PlatformsJob DescriptionThis role focuses on fabricating and welding custom industrial work platforms, mezzanines, ladder platforms, stairs, and steps for specialized projects, including aerospace and government-funded work. You will use MIG and TIG processes on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel to produce high-quality, structurally sound assemblies based on detailed blueprints and drawings. The position requires a strong fabrication background, precise welding skills, and the ability to work extended hours in a busy manufacturing shop.Responsibilities

• Perform MIG and TIG welding on aluminum, steel, and stainless steel components for customized platforms, mezzanines, ladders, stairs, and steps.
• Weld material in the 1/4 inch to 3/8 inch range while maintaining proper bead size and meeting specified weld quality standards.
• Fabricate parts according to blueprints and drawings, ensuring accurate interpretation of all custom order requirements.
• Use fabrication equipment to clean, prepare, cut, burn, and weld pieces, setting up and measuring assemblies to precise dimensions.
• Fit and assemble structural components, ensuring proper alignment, structural integrity, and overall product quality.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings to plan fabrication steps and determine appropriate welding and fitting techniques.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of MIG welding experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience MIG welding on aluminum.
• Proficiency in MIG welding on steel and aluminum in a production or fabrication environment.
• Ability to perform vertical and horizontal welds consistently on various materials.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working with aerospace-related or government-funded fabrication projects.
• Hands-on experience with aluminum welding in both MIG and TIG processes.
• Experience in flux core welding and stainless steel welding.
• Experience in structural fabrication and fitting for platforms, mezzanines, and ladders.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of O FALLON, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $72000.00/yr.
