Mechanical Assembler

Job Title: Mechanical AssemblerJob DescriptionThe Mechanical Assembler will perform mechanical upfitting on Ford Transit vans, specifically working on Spectrum cable vans. This role involves installing and pre-assembling shelving units. A strong knowledge of hand and power tools, along with the ability to read blueprints, is essential.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical upfitting on Ford Transit vans.
• Install and pre-assemble shelving units.
• Utilize hand and power tools effectively.
• Read and interpret blueprints accurately.
• Complete upfitting tasks on 20-30 vans per day.

Essential Skills

• Experience with mechanical assembly for at least 1 year.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including impact drills and screwdrivers.
• Ability to read tape measures and blueprints.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous experience in upfitting or automotive facilities is advantageous.
• Background as a lube technician is beneficial.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of KANSAS CITY, MO. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.50 - $20.00/hr.
