Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join a growing team at a newly established manufacturing and distribution facility. This role will support the installation, operation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance of advanced material handling and production equipment. Technicians will play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability while supporting the ramp-up of a brand-new operation.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with industrial maintenance experience who enjoy troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on conveyor systems and automated material handling equipment.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical control components including relays, contactors, sensors, motors, and motor controls.
- Diagnose and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Conduct mechanical repairs on bearings, belts, chains, gearboxes, rollers, and power transmission equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and equipment manuals.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and minimize production downtime.
- Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and completed work orders.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while working on industrial equipment.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician, or related role.
- Experience troubleshooting conveyors and material handling equipment preferred.
- Working knowledge of:
- Relays
- Contactors
- Sensors
- Hydraulics
- Pneumatics
- Motors and motor controls
- Mechanical power transmission
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Comfortable working independently on an overnight shift after training.
Preferred Experience
- Distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, steel, metal processing, or industrial maintenance experience.
- Experience working in a new startup facility or supporting equipment commissioning.
- PLC troubleshooting experience is a plus.
