Machine Operator Assistant

Job Title: Machine Operator AssistantJob DescriptionWe are seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Machine Operator Assistants. This role involves supporting the operation of state-of-the-art converting equipment in a large manufacturing facility. The position is on a swing shift from 3:30 PM to 2:00 AM, Monday through Thursday. Occasionally, mandatory overtime is required on Fridays, with flexibility to complete hours on Saturday or Sunday.Responsibilities

• Learn to safely and efficiently operate various pieces of converting equipment.
• Effectively learn and apply established quality control procedures.
• Execute position responsibilities as they pertain to the assigned work center.
• Read and follow order specification documents.
• Consistently work to develop or enhance skill set.
• Work collaboratively with co-workers to establish a team approach to achieve company goals and expectations.
• Follow all company rules and policies.
• Successfully work in multiple areas of the converting plant and perform to expectations.

Essential Skills

• Must read and write English.
• Mechanically inclined and able to learn new skills within a standard timeline.
• Comfortable around heavy equipment in a fast-paced environment.
• Mentally and physically capable of performing at a high pace with a sense of urgency while maintaining company expectations of Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
• Basic math knowledge and ability to read a tape measure.
• Possess a strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work overtime.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• Must pass drug screen and physical abilities test.
• Manufacturing background or good tenure in a physical job is preferred.

Dress code is casual, suitable for a manufacturing setting. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Renton, WA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.30 - $25.30/hr.
