Machine Operator

Job Title: Machine OperatorJob DescriptionThis role operates fast-paced labeling equipment in a manufacturing environment, feeding film through a continuous-run machine to support production goals. You work a stable 2-2-3 rotating schedule on either daylight or night shift, allowing you to plan ahead for long weekends and maintain a predictable work-life rhythm.Responsibilities

• Operate labeling machines by feeding film through a continuous-feed system at a fast-paced production rate.
• Monitor machine performance during operation to ensure consistent quality and output.
• Perform basic mechanical adjustments and minor troubleshooting to keep equipment running smoothly.
• Follow established production procedures, safety guidelines, and quality standards at all times.
• Work on an assembly line as needed, supporting general production and assembly tasks.
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to complete assigned work.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and efficiency.
• Stand and move throughout the production area for extended periods during the shift.
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets.
• Report any equipment issues, safety concerns, or production problems promptly.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of mechanical or manufacturing experience.
• At least 1 year of production or assembly experience.
• Ability to stand on your feet for extended periods during a full shift.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with continuous machine operation.
• Basic mechanical aptitude to handle machine adjustments and simple troubleshooting.
• Experience with machine operation (1 year preferred, but strong mechanical is acceptable).
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Reliability and consistency in following safety and quality procedures.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing or production setting is preferred.
• Comfort working on an assembly line or in general labor roles.
• No formal certifications required for this position.
• No medical clearances or specific medical requirements are needed for this role.

The workspace is not climate controlled in the areas associated with this role, so it can become warm during the summer months, while remaining reasonably comfortable in the winter since the position is indoors. The role follows a 2-2-3 rotating schedule on both daylight and night shifts: daylight runs from 5:45 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and night shift runs from 5:45 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. The schedule is mapped out for the entire year, allowing you to plan ahead for long weekends and personal commitments. Dress code aligns with a typical manufacturing environment, requiring practical, safe attire suitable for operating machinery and working on the production floor. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Mount Pleasant, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $17.00 - $20.00/hr.
