Janitoral Worker

Job Title: Janitorial WorkerPay: $18-$24Job DescriptionThis role focuses on maintaining a clean, safe, and organized facility through daily janitorial work and light facilities maintenance. The janitorial worker cleans offices, bathrooms, breakrooms, shop floors, and outdoor areas, while also supporting minor maintenance tasks and assisting with larger projects as needed.Responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of offices, bathrooms, breakrooms, shop floors, and outdoor areas to maintain a clean and orderly environment.
• Sweep floors in all work areas to remove dirt and debris.
• Push the wheelbarrow on level surfaces and up ramps to transport debris to designated trash hoppers.
• Operate a forklift to move and dump trash hoppers into the correct dumpsters, following all safety procedures.
• Cut large cardboard containers (gaylords) using a utility knife, hand saw, or power saw, and dispose of cardboard in dumpsters.
• Keep the warehouse and surrounding areas tidy, organized, and free of unnecessary clutter.
• Perform light facilities maintenance such as replacing light bulbs, painting, and minor cosmetic repairs.
• Use hand and power tools safely and correctly as part of cleaning and maintenance activities.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supplies in good condition and report any maintenance needs.

Essential Skills

• At least 2 years of janitorial or cleaning work experience.
• Proven experience performing janitorial duties in an industrial or similar environment.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Experience operating a forklift or willingness to learn and become proficient.
• Ability to use a hand saw and power saw for cutting cardboard and other materials.
• Capability to perform physical tasks such as sweeping, lifting, pushing wheelbarrows, and working on feet for extended periods.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spring City, PA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $18.00 - $24.00/hr.
