Inventory Specialist

Job Title: Inventory SpecialistPay: $24/hr - $30/hrJob DescriptionAs an Inventory Specialist, you will be responsible for maintaining inventory reports, overseeing kitting processes, ensuring Bill of Materials (BOM) accuracy, and delivering kits on time to the production floor. You will also inspect incoming shipments, sort, count, package, label, and log inventory while reviewing and fixing data entry errors. Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate inventory reports.
• Perform and oversee kitting processes.
• Ensure BOM accuracy and timely kit delivery to the production floor.
• Inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality.
• Sort, count, package, label, and log inventory items.
• Review and correct data entry errors.
• Build and maintain Excel-based tools and reports to support inventory management.
• Support the shipping and receiving department.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in data entry and inventory management.
• Experience with shipping and receiving procedures.
• Strong computer skills, including ERP systems such as Sage or Netsuite.
• Ability to interpret manufacturing kit lists and BOMs.
• At least 5 years of experience in a warehouse, inventory control, or manufacturing environment.
• Familiarity with shipping carriers such as UPS, USPS, FEDEX, DHL, and LTL.
• Capability to compare identifying information and counts, weigh or measure shipments.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with cycle counts and inventory control processes.
• Coordination of receiving and identification processes.

Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Torrance, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
