General Laborer

Job Title: General LaborerJob DescriptionThis role involves providing hands-on support at a manufacturing facility, performing a variety of tasks that keep production areas clean, safe, and operating smoothly. You will contribute to general labor, janitorial, housekeeping, floor care, and basic construction-related activities as needed on site.

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations on site at a manufacturing facility by performing a wide range of general labor tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of production areas through regular janitorial and housekeeping duties.
• Perform floor care activities, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and general upkeep of floors and walkways.
• Assist with basic construction-related tasks as directed, such as moving materials, preparing work areas, and cleaning up debris.
• Handle, move, and organize materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow all safety guidelines and procedures while working in production and facility areas.
• Assist production staff and other team members with general support tasks to ensure smooth operations.
• Report any safety concerns, equipment issues, or facility maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of experience in general labor, production support, janitorial, housekeeping, floor care, or related work.
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as standing, walking, lifting, and carrying materials throughout the shift.
• Experience maintaining clean and orderly work areas in industrial, manufacturing, or similar environments.
• Basic familiarity with floor care practices, including sweeping, mopping, and general floor maintenance.
• Ability to follow instructions, safety procedures, and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take on a variety of tasks as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Background in janitorial, housekeeping, or facility maintenance roles.
• Exposure to basic construction or construction site support work.
• Comfort working with simple tools and equipment commonly used in general labor and cleaning tasks.
