Forklift Operator / Material Handler Location: Pacific Junction, IAShift: 1st Shift | Monday-Thursday | 6:00 AM - 4:30 PMSeasonal Overtime: December through June

Job Overview We are seeking dependable and safety-conscious Forklift Operators / Material Handlers to join a leading mulch production facility in Pacific Junction, IA. This position plays a critical role in supporting production operations by moving materials, loading and unloading products, and ensuring product flow throughout the facility.This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced outdoor environment and are looking for consistent overtime during the busy season.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
• Move raw materials and finished products throughout the facility
• Pull product from production lines and transport finished goods to designated areas
• Load and unload trucks as needed
• Assist with inventory movement and storage
• Follow all company safety procedures and operating guidelines
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Support production operations as business needs require

Qualifications

Required:

• Previous forklift operating experience
• Experience with material handling in a manufacturing, warehouse, agricultural, or industrial setting
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Ability to lift, bend, stand, and work on your feet throughout the shift

Preferred:

• Heavy equipment operation experience
• Batch plant experience
• Mixing or blending experience
• Manufacturing or production experience

Schedule

• Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM (40 hours/week)
• Peak Season (December-June): Monday-Friday with required Saturday overtime
• Up to 60 hours per week available during peak season

Work Environment This position is based at an outdoor mulch production facility. Employees should be comfortable working in:

• Hot summer temperatures
• Cold winter conditions
• Wet and muddy conditions during rain
• Dusty environments during dry weather
• Windy conditions that may create airborne particles and irritation to the eyes, nose, and throat
• Appropriate PPE and safety equipment will be provided.
