Forklift Operator

Job Title: Forklift Operator $17/HR First & Second shift!Job DescriptionThis role supports a high-volume container management and racking warehouse operation, handling containers and racks that previously housed manufactured parts. As a forklift operator, you help move, clean, repair, and ship plastic totes and large containers while maintaining accurate documentation and scanning records. The position is based at the East Moline facility, primarily focused on racks, and requires consistent attention to safety, detail, and efficient material flow during 2nd shift operations.Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently for the majority of the shift to move containers, racks, and totes throughout the facility.
• Load and unload trucks, ensuring that all containers and racks are handled carefully and placed in the correct locations.
• Read and interpret shipping paperwork to confirm that the correct containers and racks are prepared, loaded, and shipped.
• Work in the washing area to load, unload, sort, stage, and scan plastic totes using the washing machine and hand scanners.
• Stand for the entire shift while performing washing, sorting, staging, and scanning tasks, with regular breaks provided.
• Work in process lanes on the floor to manage inbound containers and racks, including removing manufacturer tags and processing incoming items.

Essential Skills

• At least 6 months of recent labor or forklift experience in a warehouse, production, or similar environment.
• Proficiency in operating a forklift, including driving forward and backward through tight spaces and around obstacles.
• Ability to pass a forklift driving test that includes maneuvering through cones and safely lifting and setting down pallets.
• Experience with basic production, loading, unloading, and shipping and receiving tasks.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in environments handling racks, totes, or similar materials translates well to this role.
• Comfort using hand tools such as hand drills and screwdrivers for basic repairs.
• Ability to use hand scanners or similar devices for tracking and processing inventory.
