Forklift Operator

Job Title: Forklift OperatorJob DescriptionThis position involves operating a sit-down forklift to move inventory throughout a large manufacturing facility, as well as supporting production, packaging, and labeling tasks when not on the forklift.Responsibilities

• Operate a sit-down forklift safely to move inventory throughout the facility.
• Pull parts from shelves and stage materials to support production and shipping.
• Assist in shipping and receiving activities, including loading and unloading materials as needed.
• Package and label products accurately when not operating the forklift.
• Visually inspect parts moving through the machine to ensure quality and identify obvious defects.
• Operate basic machine controls, including occasionally pushing buttons to move parts to the next station.
• Perform material handling tasks such as palletizing, staging, and organizing products and materials.
• Use pallet jacks and other material handling equipment as required.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 year of forklift experience required, with current expectations of 2 years of forklift experience.
• Ability to operate a sit-down forklift confidently and safely in a warehouse or production environment.
• At least 1 year of warehouse or material handling experience.
• Ability to support shipping and receiving tasks, including handling pallets and staged materials.
• Basic computer skills and comfort entering data into a computer system.
• Ability to complete written logs and data sheets accurately.
