Forklift Driver

Job Title: Forklift DriverJob DescriptionThis role focuses on safely and efficiently operating stand up forklifts and swing reach equipment to support order picking, dock stocking, material handling, and inventory activities within a modern distribution center.

Responsibilities

• Operate stand up forklifts and swing reach equipment to move, store, and retrieve products throughout the distribution center.
• Perform order picking using stand up forklifts and swing reach machines to accurately fulfill customer and internal orders.
• Stock and replenish docks and storage locations by putting away incoming products and materials in designated areas.
• Support the receiving department by unloading, loading, and organizing inbound and outbound shipments as needed.
• Handle shipping and receiving tasks, including staging, scanning, and verifying products using RF scanners.
• Assist with inventory control by scanning, counting, and tracking materials to maintain accurate stock levels.
• Work as a flexible team member, acting as a Swiss-army knife who can assist in different areas of the warehouse when required.
• Follow all safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines to maintain a safe work environment.
• Meet productivity and quality expectations, understanding that performance may be reviewed through audits and coaching.
• Adhere to timekeeping and clock-in standards to ensure consistent and reliable attendance.

Essential Skills

• 12 years of experience operating a stand up forklift or swing reach in a warehouse or distribution environment.
• Previous certification for operating stand up forklifts or swing reach equipment from a prior employer.
• Proficiency in operating stand up forklifts and swing reach machines for order picking, replenishment, and material handling.
• Experience with reach forklifts and general forklift operations, including loading and unloading.
• Hands-on experience with material handling, including moving pallets, cases, and other warehouse materials.
• Background in shipping and receiving processes within a warehouse or distribution center.
• Ability to use RF scanners for picking, inventory tracking, and verification of products.
• Capability to support both replenishment and receiving functions, including putting away orders and assisting in the receiving department.
• Strong attention to safety, accuracy, and productivity while operating powered industrial equipment.

Work EnvironmentThe role is based in a climate-controlled, brand new distribution center equipped with modern material handling and scanning technology, including stand up forklifts, swing reach equipment, and RF scanners. Team members must follow defined clock-in standards, where clocking in more than three minutes before or after the scheduled start time is considered a tardy. Multiple shift options are available, including: A1: 6:00 AM 4:30 PM, MondayThursday; A2: 6:00 PM 4:30 AM, MondayThursday; B1: 6:00 AM 6:00 PM, FridaySunday; B2: 6:00 PM 6:00 AM, FridaySunday. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Litchfield Park, AZ. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
